Randy Otomo considers his specialty in bringing fitness training to the individual. His clients include busy individuals who have a difficult time trying to meet fitness goals on their own. Randy creates an individualized plan that helps his clients meet physical strength needs, cardiovascular health, stress reduction and proper eating habits. He establishes goals and develops programs to fit individual needs of time, fitness and functionality.

In the early nineties, Randy suffered a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder while playing college tennis. As he worked to strengthen it, he learned first hand what it was like to experience sub-standard strength recovery training. Figuring that he could do better, Randy began an education path for a career in fitness training. In 1994, he competed his first certification and worked at various fitness centers. he opened his business in 1998 after achieving special recognition at 24-hour fitness, including Trainer of the Month. Randy still remembers his first client - a man with a prosthetic leg. Randy maintains his education at medical and fitness seminars and certification programs in specialty areas such as training with breast cancer, weight loss management, golf conditioning and general sports conditioning.

Randy specializes in post rehab and strength training. He especially enjoys working with doctors and medical orders, and has spent a portion of his practice working as an aid to a physical therapist. This has opened a door to helping special populations, such as senior citizens, back injuries, post operative therapy, competitive athletes and stroke victims. He also focuses a portion of his practice in training students, encouraging proper health and nutrition for high school and college age athletes as well as improving performance through speed, agility, flexibility and strength exercises. His services include 30 minutes workouts, team and corporate strength training and one on one training.

Training clients, according to Randy, does not have to be complicated. In-home training is easy with a just few weights and a stability ball. Randy enjoys the atmosphere of gym training, but sees many of his regular clients in their own home. Clients begin with a meeting to discuss goals and strategize a plan to meet those goals through fitness training and nutrition. Randy values continuous evaluation, journaling progress and holding his clients accountable to their own goals regarding fitness training. He assures a quiet, firm and consistent quality of accountability, encouraging the client toward ultimate success. While education is a key component to Randy’s style and expertise, he is confident in offering accountability and structure to seasoned veterans of weight training as well as beginners.
